Beat for Beat
''Beat for Beat'' is a Norwegian musical variety show that airs every Friday on NRK1. It has been on the air since 1999, and consistently ranks in the top of Norwegian viewing figures. It is hosted by Ivar Dyrhaug, who has been the host since the start.
== Concept ==
The show is based upon Irish game show ''The Lyrics Board''.
The show consists of two teams of two members (occasionally three or four), each with their own piano and pianist. The teams are then given clues and have to figure out what song the host is alluding to, in order to score points. The team with the most points in the end are the winners. The pianists, Trond Nagell Dahl and Gisle Børge Styve, have also been with the show since the start.
